Inspiration point (IP)

This Week's Inspiration Point is to take any proverb and let it inspire a story or poem. Expecting cats killed by curiosity, chickens that have been counted prior to hatching, hands that feed you getting bitten, stitches in time and hot irons striking. I suspect it may have been an Inspiration Point in the past, but repetition is the mother of skill, as they say.

The Fox Hunt

This painting is by Wilmslow Homer (1893), fox frightening crows, crows frightening fox. I especially like that it's a coastal scene and the red berries, and the dark glower of crows.
