That reads much better now. About the dialogue: one of the best pieces of writing advice I ever received was from Ewan, years ago - about trying very hard not to make things obvious - eg 'is that a dagger I see before me?'. I always remember that...

I completely missed out on this wonderful interpretation - thanks for posting and congratulations on the cherries. Some of the old fairytales were very grim weren't they! The Disney versions are so one dimensional
