The antibiotic tea full of mould, the apologetic phonecall, the up before the down - seemingly unrelated until the close. Very well done. We (collectively) join the dots post suicide. A very true piece that does much deeper work than apologies.

Love it. Absolutely love this. It's small, strong, statemented, shapely, says something, carries lots of weight, like the gorgeous mother and babe up there being shocking, like the sharp dual profile of both a baby sucking and a breast.

The present tense gives it immediacy and as far as I can see, you stay on track. Some lovely description and a sense of drama. You could perhaps reduce your use of adjectives in some parts so it doesn't feel too overloaded as it ends up reducing...
