What became of the volunteers? At school they raised their hands Stretched them to the ceiling tiles While I looked down and made Myself as invisible...
My world is full of drivers Alone inside their spaceships I watch them going by See the furrows of their faces Eyes anchored to the road But the mind...

The dismal nature of human
Posted on Sat, 08 Sep 2018
The dismal nature of human frailty captured artfully as ever. I always have strong imagery when I read your writing, it's always grey and full of sickly souls.
It's amazing how our brains fill in the gaps left by losses and might have beens. I cannot imagine having one chance like that and having it snatched away. It would leave me forever in a sort of prolonged gasp I think. The way you've described...
You are a true artist. The way you've painted roses in words is just perfect, you didn't push too hard with the brush but the colours of your thoughts are still bold. A summer's day brought to life.
Lovely Rhiannon, leafy filters, what more could you wish for. There is no better place than the shade to watch nature play out on a hot day. Unfortunately I was working in the sun today and felt quite sick in Reading, it was baking!
One of those times when as children we experience internal volcanos of emotion, shock at how parents treat us, the audacity of their failure to listen. It's builds indepence and resilience but it's also an awakening, as a human you're often alone...
False teeth, yes I couldn't bring myself to include those, something creepy about them. We used to back onto a small cemetary where badgers would dig up bones, brass coffin rings and once some false teeth were in a pile of freshly dug soil!

This is so peaceful, sweet and neat, a beloved cat, a stone and a tree, all beautiful things cast by nature.

Interesting tale. I wonder if we all know our fatal flaws but also that we are no match for ourselves in the end.

I love the little loose bit

I love the little loose bit at the end, blowing in the wind there, it's brave but it works. May is the most beautiful month. Lovely fresh words.
