Wonderfully spooky and taking

Wonderfully spooky and taking the reader right into the heart of All Hallows Eve...my favourite time of the year, when we remember. Love this poem Paul.
I'm sure that you must have found your place within, you sound like an adaptable soul who was flexible enough to accept people for who they were, and not what their religion was.
I can only admire your courage in traveling so far and not knowing what to expect when you arrived, probably tired and hoping to find a kind face to assure you everything would be alright. It's tough when you're in a strange place and don't know...
Sorry I'm late to this writing about a part of your life. I found it so interesting, mainly because I know how good it is to reminisce, which I do a lot of myself.
What a moving, emotional story. I had tears in my eyes as I read the last bit of this part. You can't help but be affected. Very real because it could happen to anyone, reminding the reader how important life is.
it's great getting to know Effie, like you're introducing us to a new family member. I hope Effie continues to behave and gives you the comfort you both deserve.

Looks like Emily better watch out, otherwise Harry might go missing. The story's building and I'm still wondering why Harry is important.
Look forward to reading more.
