Nicely done! The atmosphere

Nicely done! The atmosphere of uncertainty/disappointment is kept so well balanced throughout, right up to the end. I shall think of this as the clock ticks down tonight!

This is so clever, Jenny, and so evocative. I always find the oboe one of the most haunting instruments, something both reassuring and mysterious.
Very much enjoyed this.

Delightful, Rhiannon. When mine were little I often used to think they'd have been happier with that wrapping paper bag than with any of the presents!
Hope you have a happy and safe New Year.

I do hope your cousin will make a full recovery, Grace. It was sad to see all the lorry drivers stuck and possibly unable to get back to their families for Christmas. Makes me realise how lucky I am. It seems tempting fate a little to wish...

Wonderfully created atmosphere, full of life and poignancy. The lines about the glorious secrets really pack a punch. Great read, Sean.

Absolutely lovely - such vivid imagery. I do love it when writers draw inspiration from each other. It's a very special spark. Brilliant stuff.

Delightful, Jenny. As a cat
Posted on Wed, 25 Nov 2020
Delightful, Jenny. As a cat lady myself (I've had four over the years, but never more than two at a time!) I recognised a lot of this. My present mog is sitting next to me keeping an eye on things, as she always does!
