Nicely done!  The atmosphere

Posted on Thu, 31 Dec 2020

Nicely done!  The atmosphere of uncertainty/disappointment is kept so well balanced throughout, right up to the end.  I shall think of this as the clock ticks down tonight!

This is so clever, Jenny, and so evocative.  I always find the oboe one of the most haunting instruments, something both reassuring and mysterious.

Very much enjoyed this.

Delightful, Rhiannon.  When

Delightful, Rhiannon.  When mine were little I often used to think they'd have been happier with that wrapping paper bag than with any of the presents!

Hope you have a happy and safe New Year.

I do hope your cousin will

Posted on Sun, 27 Dec 2020

I do hope your cousin will make a full recovery, Grace.  It was sad to see all the lorry drivers stuck and possibly  unable to get back to their families for Christmas.  Makes me realise how lucky I am.  It seems tempting fate a little to wish...

Wonderfully created atmosphere, full of life and poignancy.  The lines about the glorious secrets really pack a punch.  Great read, Sean.

Jenny, this is fabulous, and it's resonated with so many people, including me!  I've never been to Langdale Pike, but it took me back to walks in the Derbyshire dales.  I miss the vigour of the old days, but it's lovely to have the memories...

Absolutely lovely  - such vivid imagery.  I do love it when writers draw inspiration from each other.  It's a very special spark.  Brilliant stuff.

Delightful, Jenny.  As a cat

Posted on Wed, 25 Nov 2020

Delightful, Jenny.  As a cat lady myself (I've had four over the years, but never more than two at a time!) I recognised a lot of this.  My present mog is sitting next to me keeping an eye on things, as she always does!
