I love how start with "Richly bound", making me think of oak trees being like those huge gold embossed old books, the kind with ancient histories or even magic spells inside. And "resolve continues to shine" is a wonderful way to describe their...
You are brilliant at descriptions! and you remember such details! I could not, even for yesterday. I feel very lucky to have read this. Also, silly for having commented before, that it was bad to have mechanisation if it made so many unemployed....
I really like the idea of the diner being a bridge between a magic forest and real New York :0) And a great encouragement always to have some happy imagining in mind, incase you should go into such a place where wishes are fulfilled!
