Leonard & Co-hen

Cohen claimed that all his lyrics were just poetry. He would write on anything that came to hand, sift through fragments later, pairing them up, piecing them together, one step up from Dada-ist Triztan Tzara's cut-ups, I suppose. Anyway, that's what i like to do, write bits and join them up later - or not.

Unforced rhyme, perfect scansion, vivid imagery and carefully chosen words: this is how rhymed poetry is done. That's why it's our Pick of the Day today.
