My stories

A Carol

"… See! See! the Son has come, the only perfect Saving One. Sing! Sing! the joy he’ll bring to all who find our Jesus. …" sung to 'Greensleves' https://soundcloud.com/rhiannon-weber/carolrec2greensleves

Completing the Circle (Poetry Monthly)

This was in the pipeline anyway, so thought it could be a 'Poetry Monthly'. Newborn : constant provision, attention; growth : necessary sharing,...

Mixed motives, mixed metaphors

Harmonious surface but, don’t look beneath – undercurrents flow – suspicion and resentment of things they 'think' they know – no checking out, just … by the measure that you judge you will be weighed, and may such tumble share, and do not hide the hatreds that you bear beneath a smiling surface fair.

People say ‘the grace’ to each other

[Continuing the idea of one of my old hymns on Sundays:]. (May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14) … we cannot understand his might, but love to learn and praise, tell of his gracious ways!

Day of contrasts

The morning was wet, as wet as you get – torrential rain slamming, drumming … when you’re 94 and can no longer dash through the downfall and splash … free for the afternoon – what should we do? … the rain has stopped … a lovely spot to walk, and talk … (now with requested recording!)
