and none of the rhymes seem forced. An insistent rhythm that serves the subject well. A little unconvinced by one or two of the images. "severed souls impaled upon a pike" - for example - although I appreciate you may well be using soul as person...

I think you have a typo at line one. Do you need "a price at which" vice "a price in which"?
