I loved this walk through

It's terrifying to think something is wrong with us- something possibly incurable-this is a very relatable tale- I'm sure many have been there and taken a deep breath- like in your ending- to learn their fear is unfounded and they are after all...
What a lovely metaphor -birds to children- their playful antics and hungry frenzy are very relatable. Your poem is sweetly reminiscent of time passing and life changing and oh yes, that lovely gift from time – wrinkles.
This story is so real - I can imagine this summer of decades past with your descriptions. Not an easy decade and so, I am intrigued to see where you will go in this story. Waiting now for part three.

This quick lunch break exchange reminded me of those one word conversations that say so little yet say so much between the conversationlists - but eavesdroppers may not understand the context or flow of words. The image of a rainy lunch break...

What a smart bird, a fur lined nest, warm and cozy. The big birds don't know what they're missing yet. Perfect lead in to part three..
