Spencer's lack of emotion makes him sound so condescending when dealing with Vanessa, especially when he acts all calm and she feels that human condition of frustration.

This is such a wonderful creation of a festive poem, that really put me in the mood for the season. Reminds me of a lost Victorian England with all the true meaning behind it, rather than the commerical money making.
I agree the world does need more Johns. I wrote about him from my own experience of being asked if we wanted to sell our 1900s property, which they wanted to knock down for the development of a road leading to our back garden...
