I loved the idea of the veil, it adds a touch of magic and mystery to your story Paul. It also feels like he's between two worlds. I'm eager to read more, as I'm fascinated by the boy sittting on the outer ridge.
You evoke the excitement of an approaching storm, which is so apt for my part of the world. The only green comes from the trees where I live, there's been no decent rain for such a long time.
So sorry to hear about your knee pain Maxine. It's horrible to suffer. I too went through hell last year, so know exactly how you feel. Luckily my knee pain cleared up after having a hip replacement back last October. There is a light at the end...
