For all the girls who loved and left me

DREAD DON'T COME

Dread don't come It all began Six months ago When I read a poem On national TV A friend from Edinburgh Saw me Not only sounded but Spread alarm bells He could only see my ears He asked

CAN'T INHERIT BUT CULTIVATE LOVE

Already Bloodied

Engulfed

My emotions engulf me Like Jonah’s whale Opens their mouth Swallows me whole I am in darkness Devoid of all landmarks I know not here I move No Guide have I in this place

She Didn't Say

Cherry

A monologue about grief.

Siren's Lament

She smiles with regret, reciting a solitary tale of heartache like so many other sirens before her.
Poem of the week

To an ideally beautiful girl 1

First of two sonnets to an unbelievably beautiful (but, alas, rather stupid) girl I met some time ago.
