yes, I liked that the cows and children died had significance for different reasons, so much heartache put so simply

Beautiful poem, you express so well the seeming fragility of Spring but also how it's actually very strong, as it has overcome the darkness of Winter, just as the flames of your dreams overcome dark times. It makes me think of those ink paintings...

They ARE  like table cloths, and the way they ripple is like slow motion flapping a table cloth to open it out before putting it on the table. I'd never have thought of that. I like the slow graceful way of this poem, too
