Hello Di, there's tranquility about walking the Ridgeway, it's so open and peaceful. I do love the copse of trees, because it's magical standing in amongst them. There's an amazing view the other side of the trees too, where you can see for miles...
This poem reminds me of those days from the past when I used to work on the garden and get ready to collect the harvest of all the produce I'd grown from seed in the spring. I remember one year I grew corn, runner beans, tomatoes, lettuce,...
Poor Vanessa, that Steve was so cocky and made her feel uncomfortable, even Annie wasn't sure about him, no wonder Vanessa was glad to go home. I wonder if they'll meet up again! Spencer seemed keen. Look forward to finding out.
Such a scenario gives me the feeling of scepticism that being able to connect with a dead loved one is unethical. I think it would make moving on so hard to cope with.
Your story gives much food for thought. It got me as a reader thinking...
I can't believe I nearly missed this lovely poem Rhiannon. I love the hope that your words bring in the last stanza. I'm looking forward to the Autumn and Winter months though, it's nice to rest and prepare for Spring.
Your gift for keeping the tension going is excellent. I think Samantha should be a detective, she seems to understand the situation and listens to Jeanette.
Hope this story doesn't end too soon, I'm just loving it so much.

I just loved this Phil. I'm not surprised it was one of the winning entries. Your sense of humour shines through...definitely on my wavelength. Gave me a smile. ...

I agree with insert Phil and couldn't have put it any better myself.
Loving all the detail that gives such a clear description of what's going on.
Look forward to next part.
Jenny.
