Posted on Sun, 02 Aug 2020

I like this Penny, and I think that is so true that we are each viewing the world through our own prisms of experience. Prisms is such a good way of framing it. I like the way too that you take this from the individual to all the billions of us...

I find this very moving

Posted on Sat, 01 Aug 2020

I find this very moving Trevor, as if one realises one's own existence in knowing another - and that the another might be a nostalgic sense of a former self. That's if I have grasped your meaning, and if not, that's what I took from it anyway! It...

Posted on Sat, 01 Aug 2020

I like the idea of marmalade, buttered toast and sunlight. I'm sure the willow is speaking in code too - trees talk to each other regularly. It's a pity we can't hear them. The willow as a veil / grieving is a lovely image too. Very nice thoughts...

This is great. You have a brilliant way of writing something so that it makes you smile as well as see the depth of it. I probably haven't explained that very well, but I know what I meant and it is a good thing. Also I'm going to memorise that...

Posted on Fri, 31 Jul 2020

Thanks littleditty, am glad you like my raptor pondering. Yes, just recycling. The buzzards / grouse situation is grotesque, so distressing. Yeah, humans indeed, all the mindlessly cruel stuff that we do is just inexcusable. Thanks for reading it...

It's a very beautiful poem

Posted on Fri, 31 Jul 2020

It's a very beautiful poem and you've captured the sense of the impermanence of things; summer, life. The worm/ blackbird reference is clever. Interesting to read again with the context you've given. Sorry to hear that you lost your brother....

This perfectly evokes the imagination vs reality of these kinds of encounters. Gave me a smile. I told someone the other day about a cyclist and I who wave to one another every morning. I got told I should get out more! Something romantic about...
