Posted on Fri, 14 Aug 2020

Beautiful poem, love the air in knots and still baskets of light, lovely conjured images of flying things. I also especially liked the spiders repairing. Rachel :)

Posted on Wed, 12 Aug 2020

What great photos - that is just what I am hoping for. Love the cloud mountains and the flashes of lit up realms and especially the goose thunder of disturbance. Rachel :)

I really enjoyed this, which is not to say that I enjoyed hearing about your decking drama, but it is a compellingly told tale. It's our Pick of the Day for Facebook and Twitter. Simon, please feel free to change the image if you're not happy...

Thank you. Not to sound too

Posted on Tue, 11 Aug 2020

Thank you. Not to sound too weird about it... but there's something soulful in the gaze of a cow, I always think. It could just be the tonsillitis - that's my get out clause for odd remarks about cows for the time being. I do plan to eat ice...

A proper garret poem, love

Posted on Sat, 08 Aug 2020

A proper garret poem, love the pinned moth image and lallate - what a pleasing word though not one I'd try to say after a couple of glasses of wine as I prune my poems late into the night. Have you let the daylight back in now? Enjoyed, made me...

I enjoyed reading this - how

I suppose that we are all

Posted on Sat, 08 Aug 2020

I suppose that we are all trying to make our way, survive in negotiation with ourselves, others, the world around us, the garden and the act of gardening is similar to me, in compromise with everything that lives in it too, and the painting...

Posted on Thu, 06 Aug 2020

I very much like the idea of nature retaining some impenetrable truths and you're quite right, I think something is lost in giving words to certain feelings, spiritual or otherwise, things can lose their magic. Some experiences are reduced with...

This is very moving, Jenny.

Posted on Thu, 06 Aug 2020

This is very moving, Jenny. Have read your explanation behind the poem. I'm so sorry that your mum was in such a distressed place and that you went through this terrible experience. Your last line has such power, given that, words are so often...

I enjoyed this. A good read.

Posted on Fri, 31 Jul 2020

I enjoyed this. A good read. I got to the end of the paragraph before the JFK paragraph, but in a way I was cheating because I'd already read it once so I knew I had to read fast (and it's easier to kid yourself a second time that you're reading...
