Hi Jean, That saying; 'you can't please all of the people, all of the time,' came to mind as I read. I think Maria's idea of researching the hymns of Cardinal Nerman, and teaching the ones they don't know, was a great idea...music always delivers...
you bought to mind my time in the early 1960s staying in a friends house in Cornwall, they had a wood burning stove, and Gran as I knew her would cook just about everything on it. Your Petchka sounds excellent and seems to do its job really well...
The plot thickens and it's hard to tell whether Perfidia is being over sensitive, or that her mistrust is viable. You've got me wondering Penny, which means the plot is great.
Your descriptions of the thoughts Floyd was feeling, and his eternal damnation was gripping. Keres sounded really grotesque, you described this creature so well.
I just love the autumn and winter, so that first stanza was how the poem came together, so I'm glad you liked it. We are so lucky to have the changing seasons.
Thank you so much for reading and your great comment which I'm always grateful...
This is such a great story. Wouldn't it be great to have a friend like George George, who could whisk you off at a moments notice to destinations and have you home the same day? I also love how you've left the story on a cliff hanger...can't wait...
It's lovely to read you're out and about again Rhiannon. Your ramble comes across so poetically refreshing. The photos are glorious too, adding to the enjoyment of the walk.

I've never heard of this tradition Turlough. I thought your poem did justice to the day, with good rhythm and rhyme.
