love

In the early morning hours
before the sun's rays wake the waves of the sea from slumber,
i see you there
a ghost in eyes of blue and golden hair;
a smile weaving the summer reeds into a pattern ;
rays of colour.
The reeds play with the hem of my dress
as the sun kisses the soles of my feet;
a dance of words that become silent in the morning mist.
Geese fly above my head calling to the wildflowers
that bloom in hidden places above the willows.
The summer sun teases the seashells and the dreams of those far away.
You stand and hold the hem of my heart in a ghostly mist
while
summer clouds gaze at the wildflowers growing amongst the reeds;
patterns of invisible doorways found between the waves of the sea and your smile;
a wild flower carressing the morning air;
iceland ;
a thought of your voice in memory's window.
Somehow you still love me ;
words that echo across the waves of the sea into infinity.

I can see that so much time
I can see that so much time and effort has been put into this engaging poem. I just love your use of metaphors that transport the reader to be inspired.
Very much enjoyed.
Jenny.
