Music Is The Expression Of Life

I see how music changes over the years , the styles and the sound

The lyrics and the beat and the mix of what is going around  .

The orchestra , the singer , the  solo musician or the band .

The universal language of time that we can all understand .

Everybody has one song that meant something to them good or bad

It said something to them or made them feel happy or even sad .

Music does that kind of thing , it can make us dance and sing or cry

It is just like a wonderful expression of life passing by .

I see how music can change the fashions of the things we wear ,

and our hair styles as well are influenced by music that’s out there.

Girls with pony tails in swinging frocks with white socks and dancing shoes.

Punks with spiked up hair dos , bell bottoms jeans twisted bleached denim blues ,

Teddy boys with their slicked back hair and the leather jackets they wear

Music is seen in everything , it’s always been around us there .

The way we feel and how we see ourselves is mirrored by music,

It becomes part of us in the things we do and the way we speak .

It’s that wonderful expression of who we are as time goes by .

Yes , over the years music has always been there for you and I  .
