What an engaging story of love and fear of the terrible actions of the Nazis that Mary and her friends went through, but at least it had a happy ending.
It's always a great surprise when a piece of writing comes together and gives pleasure. How I feel when I've spent time working on a poem is very fulfiling and cheers me up.
You explain well the hidden trials of these fish and the dangers they face. I also like the idea of the runic shapes etched upon their sides. A clever poem indeed.

Just reading this gorgous poem Di reminds me of Autumn...as you know my favourite time of year.
I like how you write as if each thought and recollection has become a patchwork quilt of lovlness.
Really enjoyed reading this one....

An intimate look at nature with all its ups and downs.
Just love the Willow tree and the way you describe its leaves as they droop, and how it talks to the moon in midnight mumurs of watery dreams.
Enjoyable read.

Your poem expresses so much of the beauty of this place in so few words Rhiannon.
Capturing a pleasant scenic walk as you always do.

There's a kind of magic about your second version of this poem Di, especially in those lines:-
fragrant flames in Spring, then leaves unfurl, spell
air for all near, unaware,
The buds actually remind me of wands. You express...
