love the feeling of childhood, the wooden and woolen connection, the moths and cicadias and how the fallen trees link to bleached bones and pennies from soldiers. Beautifully depicted.

very much liked the feeling of being on the journey with you, 'intermittent percussion' of woodpecker - I could hear it so clearly.... I'd have finished it without the last two lines because the scene is already painted well...

Read it at her wedding eveyone will love it....might take out all the 'the's' in first verse, don't need them and without takes you closer to action (not I didn't say 'the' action) and as many of those other ones as you can...x

Enjoyed the language you used and the build-up feels very authentic.....and hands are very special to hold and they way they mould to yours........ not joined long enough to read all the chapters but well done for getting this far....
