I am a Brummie living in Northampton who loves to write but gets distracted with other things. I enjoy horror/fantasy and anything that provokes original thought.
My literary heroes are Clive Barker, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft. Everyone should read George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-four .
I have work published by AlienBuddha Press, Loft Books, BlackBough Poems, DarkWinter Literary Magazine and Paragraph Planet.

almost done;"
Night-time can be Heaven or Hell depending on your disposition. Another poem with your deftness of touch and sentiment. Nicely done, of course Jenny.

"The dark, dread milkman is near!."
That last line made me think of Poe. A very entertaining read and very creative. Next door have the milkman...I can hear the quiet whoosh of the truck at 5am sometimes. Be afraid...

"Letters postmarked Motherwell"
That line made me laugh. That is a veritable box of tricks. Spare bedlinen and towels is probably where we all are, in reality. Adroitly done and made me smile. Paul :)

A gothic-Poe-esque/Irving-esque tale that has me intrigued. I love the prevailing darkness that seems to surround the whole thing. Looking forward to the next part :)

"..where each boy had a box for ‘tuck’ and treasure."
Intrigue and mischief. A naughty uncle's trick and a charming tale. Enjoyed, Rhiannon. Paul :)

That's another brave piece of writing. Cancer appears to be a slippery foe. As always, Jean, people in a similar situation will read this and find it helpful that someone can articulate with clarity what's happening along with options and...
