strikes me as one of the most subtle and successful forms of brain washing on the planet. Even if you don't live there anymore, once subjected to it one is never quite free of it.

I tried to send you a link but it's too long. Google Privet Hawk droppoings and you'll see what I mean.

I guess our teachers taught the same stuff, but I was always fascinated by insects in particular, ants, beetles, Moths/Butterflies ect...

My friend, Maria told me about how beautiful they are. She said they were disappearing though. We talked about going, but it's a long way from the Canaries where we lived at that time.

Maybe you just have good taste.

I had Red Robin in the garden but as a stand alone shrub not a hedge. I prefer wooden fences with plants growing in them.
