I just love the idea of an invisable door leading into another world, and a talking bird is right up my street. Great storytelling as always Penny.
Hope you're well enough to keep the story going.
Take care.
Jenny.

Your poem reminds me of the many forest mysteries of creatures that walk between worlds. The American Indians believed in shape shifters and not just in their imaginations.
A great nightmarish write.

It sounds like he managed to choose the right bride in his mother's eyes. I wonder if it lasts? That's the big question we all ask as mother's.
Nice to see you're poetry again Niamh. A good one for the I P too.

I can identify with this poem, especiially in this heat, lying in a bed of sweat just makes me feel claustrophobic, so I toss and turn till eventually I just have to get up. Though I don't get nightmares, I find it hard to close down and stop...

Your poem really has me
Posted on Thu, 04 Aug 2022
Your poem really has me longing for cooler Autumn days when I can get out into the countryside for long walks again. I can imagine it was good to get into the woody shade.
The photos set the poem off nicely.
