Seems some deep poignant disillusionment. Serenity will always get disturbed in this life, and even with respect and honesty in companionship, so much hurt can happen. I hope you know some real serenity and hope in midst of the cacophony times....

Seems some sort of metaphor in that – if the person or thing is doing her/his/its job well, you don't notice it, only notice when the job isn't being done properly! Rhiannon

Very sad, and you certainly seem to have given her a lot of time, and effort. Her Buddhist ideas don't seem to give her much peace or purpose, nor does she sound as if she has found others of that persuasion to support her.
