I hadn't thought of waterfalls being uncommon in England, I suppose it is the kind of landscape. So many near here and in Wales. But this one looks quite unusual. The sound of waterfalls is very refreshing, and themore gentle burbling of rivers...
I've been mulling over this awhile since reading. Intriguing, you seemed to be teasing about possible supernatural and evil solutions, and then possibly negating them, but in the end leaving things quite open, all in a sort-of 'tongue-in-cheek'...
