I guess he grew up to be an adult version of the narrator - someone with great insight to the workings of a child's mind - the girl's and his own. I thought this was a good, non-judgmental sketch, and was thrilled to see  it get picked.

maybe not a phychopath, but just couldn't take any more. Loved his imagination when he heard the result of his sabotage, and his Mum had tea... Loved him running home with his tea tray under his arm. Loved his song. Great poem.

There's something in this that shows a certain lack of regret - almost wishing for some. 'try to wish I'd loved you...' The regret, if any, that being too young, you missed something that looking back now seems like a good idea.

The image of the fishes of fingers being washed in a bowl got me as much as the wonderful assonance. Yes, turn that bed to face the garden so the now can be fully appreciated. Lovely poem, Tina. Positive, yet empathetic and  sad.

I feel the title refers to the world. Some unusual and original images. Loved, especially, the left-handed humming bird. It's a mixture of fools and frightened rabbits belief in mythology and religion, not shared by the narrator.

Nice twist at the end, and all that back-finger stabbing - very amusing to watch in the minds eye - for me, not him, obviously, (any of hims). Ass upwards - I love that saying. My friend's Mum was fond of saying something was done 'arse backwards...
