I have published four poetry collections entitled 'Idle Thoughts', 'Reflections', 'Poetry On Tap' and 'Cherry on Top'.  See http://gigipagano.wixsite.com/mysite for my latest poetry collection “Cherry on Top” and other publications.
My verses can be described as eclectic, that is to say they go from the sublime to the ridiculous but, I hope, always entertaining.

I like this original analogy

I like this original analogy comparing houses to envelopes. Although at first it doesn't look as if they have anything in common, the similarity between the two becomes clearer when we consider what happens within both. The occupants of buildings...

Hello Di. Thanks for the kind

Posted on Tue, 16 Apr 2019

Hello Di. Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated, but basically what I have done is 'borrow' some great  lines by great poets to create a new poem with which, in all modesty, I was quite pleased. The Notre Dame fire was the catalyst that made...

A lovely descriptive poem, Di, with the first three lines as an introduction that grabs the readers' attention right away. The verses that follow reveal that something as mundane as a walk to the shops evoke feelings so deep that one can easily...

Good use of the language, Jane. I like 'orbicular shapes' and the crafty suggestion that Barry Gorringe might rhyme with orange as no other rhymes come readily to mind. I seem to have read that 'door hinge' would be suitable.
I too was...

Eight-lines stanzas. I am impressed, Jane. I thought the poem very amusing, what with the lippety lippety rabbits and the strange fellow with the brillo fuzz, not forgetting the main protagonists, the whippets. Brilliant.

Best, Luigi...

You have stuck to the technical brief exceptionally well, Jane. The fact that you were able to cope with the unfortunate situation by composing a little poetic gem is admirable - although small consolation for losing your job.

Best wishes...

Posted on Sun, 17 Feb 2019

Your description of the various feelings that looks can generate is spot on, Graham. They can mean love, passion, jealousy and even hostility. The latter attribute reminds me of the sixties when confrontational Teddy Boys used the expression "wot...

Ed this is excellent. The third stanza is my favourite but I enjoyed the whole poem.
In my opinion it should be Pick of the Day.

Oddily enough, Di, this poem

Posted on Mon, 11 Feb 2019

Oddly enough, Di, this poem brings to mind the principles of the economic law of diminishing returns: you can invest more and more resources but eventually a saturation point will be reached. It is a meataphor for life itself as your piece...
