Hiroshima

Who was it that made the call,
and who that caused the fall?
Ordered by President Truman,
Paul Tibbets was the crewman
who piloted with cool aplomb
the B29 carrying the H-bomb.
The weapon, named Little Boy,
was lethal and not a kid's toy.
The military saw it as the means
to blow Hiroshima to smithereens.
They dropped it on August 6, 1945;
it took the city six years to revive
but the whole Nippon nation cried
for the 150,000 citizens who died.
The pilot of the plane, Paul Tibbets,
maintained that he had no regrets.
I.P. "The call that changes everything".
