I am a Brummie living in North Somerset who loves to write but gets distracted with other things. I enjoy horror/fantasy and anything that provokes original thought.

My literary heroes are Clive Barker, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft.

Everyone should read George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-four .

I have work published by AlienBuddha Press, Loft Books, BlackBough Poems, DarkWinter Literary Magazine and Paragraph Planet.

Posted on Sun, 09 Mar 2025

Trump is running the US like a business, a corporate entity. He conducts himself as though he is in charge on 'The Apprentice'. It remains to be seen whether diplomacy and statesmanship can be achieved in this way. We'll find out, I guess..

All caught up again. Cedric

Posted on Thu, 20 Feb 2025

All caught up again. Cedric is the 'grenade' and the reader is now waiting for the pin to come out.

The story rattles along nicely and another piece finishes before you realise you have only just started it.

It's looking great,...

I'm reading references to DT being 'transactional' in his dealings. Both at home and abroad. It seems to be all about money. The more the merrier.

He's also unbalancing the world order and appears to be 'getting into bed' with Putin. The...

snowfall smothering.."

A poem full of animation. Felt like I was there.

"I saw the moonglade captured in the dew.."

[Made me think of a photo I took of cows in shafts of sunlight near Wookey.]

Capturing the remarkable in the unremarkable is what makes us human. You do it so well in this beautiful poem...

Great final line, Jane!

Great final line, Jane!

I like the inner thoughts of Vanessa that drives the narration. Her ennui is well done and now replaced by a whole new scenario. Spencer's back....I'm guessing with quite a story to tell.

Keep going :)
