I am a Brummie living in Northampton. I love to write but get distracted with other things. I enjoy horror/fantasy and anything that provokes original thought. My literary heroes are Clive Barker, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft.

I think that everyone should read George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-four .

I have a short story published in a horror anthology by @thealienbuddha in October 2022 (see https://www.abctales.com/blog/insertponceyfrenchnamehere/alien-buddhas-h...) and one due for publication in a general anthology by @LoftBooks this Autumn/Fall 2022.

Oh thank you for reading it.

Oh thank you for reading it. My lad is absolutely fine. He's not particularly affected so far by what's happening in Ukraine. Of course, the events in that country could envelope us all if the leaders involved don't see sense soon. In the...

Weddings sounded so opulent back then. Everything seemed so gorgeous. Meeting royalty at needlework classes...never a dull moment! Keep 'em coming, Jean. Paul

I could picture a headfirst struggle against high winds. A dramatic poem of nature with layers of meaning. Very nicely done, our Jenny. Paul

Yes, Pluto would be far

Posted on Mon, 07 Mar 2022

Yes, Pluto would be far enough away. Alfred Muggins is not happy right now, is he? It's a good job the Russian leader isn't stuck in a room with the angry Alfred and Lady Muggins. I suspect there would be blood on the carpet!

Every news story has bias of some kind. When does bias become propaganda? I watch the news and read the papers and, of course, western media demonise Russia. As ever, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. In the meantime, war has no...
