I am a Brummie living in Northampton who loves to write but gets distracted with other things. I enjoy horror/fantasy and anything that provokes original thought.

My literary heroes are Clive Barker, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft. Everyone should read George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-four .

I have work published by AlienBuddha Press, Loft Books, BlackBough Poems, DarkWinter Literary Magazine and Paragraph Planet.

Private Heaven

Memnock had waited for a thousand years. At least, he thought it was a thousand years but it could have been much longer than that; he didn't wear a watch after all.

Not sure the Tchaikovsky Group has the same menace about it but I know what you mean. Hopefully Alfred will get his trip to Timbuctou soon. It's a long way, you know..

I hope that's an allegory for the Sycamore Gap tree that was felled.

A lovely poem, so well done, Rhiannon. Paul

It's interesting to read how Alfred tries to make things easier through his power of hindsight. Your knowledge of this period of history is impressive. It makes it an ongoing, enjoyable read.
