I  think I'd be like the lady

Posted on Tue, 08 Jul 2025

I  think I'd be like the lady in your poem. Remembering younger days is a special gift when you're old, something nobody can take away.

A realistic poem of acceptance that I think I would relate to in later life.

The beauty of Bulgaria and

Posted on Wed, 09 Jul 2025

The beauty of Bulgaria and your own surroundings shines through in your writing Turlough, even with its ups and downs.

I must admit I could do with air conditioning at the moment, it's so hot even at 10.20 am in the morning, and it's about...

I don't think I'd have hung

Posted on Mon, 07 Jul 2025

I don't think I'd have hung around with all that noise and disorder, and that poor woman stuck in her chair! Poor soul.

But you're right about shopping streets turning into abandoned film sets. On the occasions I do go into town, it's so...

Hi Turlough,

Posted on Sun, 06 Jul 2025

Hi Turlough,

you know, you're right. I'll never forget Tibby, mainly because it was the first cat I owned entirely on my own, though I'd had cats before, they'd always been part of the family. Yes a real character was our Tibby, always off...

Hi Turlough,

I do envy you with your fireflies, what an amazing sight to behold, it must feel like being in fairyland sat in your garden.

It's funny you should mention the 149th anniversary of Hristo Botev, marked across Bulgaria...

I will never understand how

Posted on Mon, 07 Jul 2025

I will never understand how the selfish, cruel attacks and barbaric way some humans treat others,  can be allowed to happen. It's such a savage and wicked waste of life.

We live on this beautiful planet earth, and should feel so lucky to...

Jamie has so many thoughts

Posted on Fri, 04 Jul 2025

Jamie has so many thoughts running around in his head, I think it's such a real human condition, that gives us time to process and guide us through life.

I loved his interaction with his son Fox, such an adorable story about jam. My son's...

I love the mystery of those

Posted on Tue, 01 Jul 2025

I love the mystery of those blackbirds, crows and rooks, especially when they're perched on Billy's arms. It feels like there's a time lapse, but for the guy in the Liverpool football shirt shocked at the strange sight.

Looking forward to...

You've written a sensitive

Posted on Wed, 02 Jul 2025

You've written a sensitive poem Turlough, with honest compassion for those going through appalling, aggressive suffering.

I can only echo many others oppositions to such atrocities.

Jenny.
