I'm glad you feel fine and a bit better than before. It's very brave of you to not just go through this but to write about the experience too. I hope to read many more of your pieces of writing.

Good luck, and good on you.

An enjoyable poem, even though it does remind me of the maths lessons at my school.

Thank you for your comment Rhiannon.

I try not to appear negative but when I look around me now I feel that most things in the world aren't as good as they were when I was a teenager and, in some cases, they're drastically worse.

Problem solved... I'm feeling really sleepy now. But I've got to take some cats to the vet. I promise it's definitely not for revenge reasons.

In Bulgaria some of our geese are still here but the lakes have just about gone. Will we ever have rain again?

From the beautifully crafted words of your poem I get the impression that there's a lot going on in your bed, Jenny, so I'm not surprised you can't sleep.

A very enjoyable read indeed.

Good stuff! Your poem made me smile.

And it reminded me a bit of ...

Now Ernie loved a widow
A lady known as Sue
She lived all alone in Linley Lane
At number twenty two
They said she was too good for him

These are terrible, terrible times Ralph. I've tried writing about this horrific situation myself but I can't find the words to describe the horror and dread that I feel inside.

The last two lines of your poem are perfect.

Well done...

This is a gorgeous poem

This is a gorgeous poem Socialeaf. It brings back memories of similar experiences with my own kids and my own parents.

If I were to write my version it would include the words tears, clinging and worry. Yours is much nicer.

Great writing Jane, to the extent that you're making me feel like I'm at a point somewhere between inadequate and obsolete.

So I'm going out now to cut the grass.
