That's the answer Ed. I had a couple of Christmases in Tenerife and one in Marrakech. The Marrakech one was brilliant because there was absolutely no mention of Christmas at all.

I love the idea of the labyrinth of contemplation. Whether we are intrepid or not, this seems like a good place to spend at least part of each day, possibly never finding the way out.
