Me too in terms of knowing much about this bird. You paint a highly visual image of its ability to fly for long periods of time and great distances. The rhyme and rhythm works well. Nicely done, of course. Paul

March hares, nymphs and tall trees - dreamy images of spring. I enjoyed that journey from Freya's snowdrifts until dawn :)

Henry VIII (Alfred Arthur the Great) Tudor (Muggins) with Nigel to be added. Wow. I had forgotten that the Mary Rose was the flagship of the great Henry. Hoping he finds a pen so we can continue with the story!

Well I read it whilst thinking "Men of Harlech" in my head. The words neatly match the rhythm of the anthem. Nicely done, Rhiannon. Paul

"...The dying moment,

easily confused

with a stopped clock."

Melancholic, wistful and existential. All things that make a good poem. Nicely done, for sure.

"...fragile early wood wild daffodil.."

Synonymous with spring. A beautiful image, Rhiannon. Lovely photo as well. Who doesn't love daffodils?! Paul

A tragic and sad story. Hard to imagine the harshness of those kind of laws now. You recount the tale and speak up for the wronged so eloquently.

Thanks for reading, CM. Always appreciated and, yes, right on both counts. (Good win in the cup today for the Bhoys. Treble on. Hail hail)

I have a cherry tree in my front garden. I wrote a poem about it a while back. It's a wonder to see the cherry blossom every year. Enjoyed your poem. Paul
