Alabaster Conjugal 3.

Pick of the Month

Nor There

Dreaming about mum. Walking along a country lane. We saw plump birds appear from the tall grass and scuttle across the road. They had brown feathers, speckled black, and jade green necks. I asked mum why they didn’t fly. “They’re pheasants,” she said. “You eat them.”

Weightless v2

The lack of a body bothered me at first. I’d get upset about my weightlessness. Like all bouts of depression, it passed. Stuck in a cell, I started to recognise that it was dumb of me to miss my teeth, hair and eyes, to cry for my skin, arms and legs.

I enjoyed this. Really hard

Posted on Tue, 01 Aug 2023

This is so vivid and laced

Posted on Fri, 21 Jul 2023

This is so vivid and laced with perfect details, my favourite being the bricks and tyre to stop the car rolling. When I was in Bulgaria, I saw someone had tried to fill in a giant pot hole in the road by placing an old tyre in it.

Great...

I reckon you'll be surprised

Posted on Mon, 17 Jul 2023

I reckon you'll be surprised when you read it back. The blend of realism and occult is really powerful. It's funny too. Happy to have a read through when you finish.
