Memories of my last night before becoming a salty sea dog. It all happened at the Devon public house in the fashionable Cross Gates district of Leeds, round about the end of August 1976.
It absolutely amazes me how a living organism can survive so long. Imagine the things it has lived through. I wouldn't want to be an oak tree myself though.
Thanks for that Paul. I pick up the Yeats book from time to time but I'd be fibbing if I said I'd read it from cover to cover. Days with absolutely nothing at all to do are perfect for such literary adventures.
I must confess that I've only started reading Willow's Missing Tail quite recently. I'm enjoying the read but a bit lost at times (most times) so I can see that I need to go the very beginning and start from scratch. Don't wait for me though....
