"… What’s a “holiday”?’"
Oof...that's a powerful last line leaving all kinds of issues in the reader's mind. Of course, we often take holidays for granted but many don't get them for lots of reasons. Maybe it's the child's first holiday....
That's an interesting analogy - slaying the far-right dragon. Maybe although we tend to over simplify with labels and terms. Social unrest only really goes away when the root cause for the issues are resolved or at least seen to be given time and...
There's a sense of euphoria at the story's climax. Yet still the frailties of the human condition shine through. As ever, you lead the reader through a tale that reads like a modern fable. Enjoyed as always.
That's a big twist for the Muggins time-travel saga. Waves of immigration from the past! I can't wait to read what happens next. Can Henry VIII re-take his kingdom in another time? Read on. And I will!
