I don't think this is cheesy at all. I went for a walk up on the ridge way and can completely understand how inspired you would be, it really shows in this beautiful poem. The gentle movement comes across of being part of the peace of nature,...

Posted on Sun, 17 May 2020

Your story reminded me of my own dad who died of cancer, he too was a great book reader. The bit about shaving your dad, I've been there too, it's so strange to think we never really know a parent until we reach that age we remember them at. ...

Posted on Fri, 01 May 2020

I agree with Di, you've captured that feeling of taking the time to think and care about others around. It's a much more caring and polite world we're living in at the moment. Like you say strangers are stopping to smile. There doesn't seem to be...

Posted on Wed, 08 Apr 2020

I like how you write of nature looking on the positive side. If we allow ourselves to just be rather than thinking too much, then life what ever the situation isn't all that bad. An optimistic poem indeed.

Hope you are keeping well Rachel...

Hi Rachel,

Hi onemorething,

let me just first say I can't believe I missed this poem. You describe so well the abundance of beautiful wildlife that's disappearing before our very eyes.

Your love of nature really shines through in your words....

Hi Rhiannopn,

Is'nt the makeup of the human a wonderful creation? It's only when we really think about it...as in your poem, that we realize just how incredible it really is.

A poem with a lot of thought put in.

Jenny....

Hi onemorething,

Hi onemorething,

I've read this poem many times. It conjured up a picture of someone considering all the men she'd ever known in her life and reflecting on memories of being let down so many times. There's a sadness to reading it, and yet...
