Significant lines for me:-

Yew trees (Stoical) standing in silence,

winter robins singing - lift solemn spirits.

Flowers lying in grave beds decaying,

I love how you've woven a story into this poem Turlough. The rhythm and rhyme are perfect too. It's a sad story and reminds me of the American native indians who had their land taken away. People with power and loads of money always seem to win...

Hi again Rachel,

Hi Rhiannon,

love the rhythm and rhyme of this poem, and totally agree with Di in her comment. We can all learn so much from writing on subjects...it appealed to the child inside me.

This was such a touching story Paul. So relevant too. The hardest part is learning to carry on after loosing a loved one, having your world turned upside down is never easy to cope with. I myself have lost so many loved ones to cancer, it gets...

Hi Penny,

Hi Penny,

Willow sure has a lot of magical powers, such a bright cat deserves to win. A bit of magic certainly goes a long way. Would have loved to have seen the expression on the uniformed man's face when he looked in the carrier to find...

Embracing the spirit of your poem, gave a sense of movement, these birds relocating constantly, just like the clouds. Your passion for this bird shines through in your words.

Thank you for sharing.
