Posted on Sat, 20 Apr 2024

Fields of rapeseed in flower always look utterly beautiful.

My in-laws' house in Lincolnshire was often surrounded by acres of it and we decided that it didn't smell very nice and the small black insects that it attracted were also...

Posted on Mon, 15 Apr 2024

Papa was a soothsayer.

Posted on Sat, 06 Apr 2024

Aren't all fathers soothsayers with the words 'told you so' poised on the tips of their tongues even if they hadn't told us so? I think my kids might say I'm guilty of that myself.

An entertaining look at the Gilded Cage. Nice one Jenny...

And Smokey sings...

And Smokey sings...

Now, there's some sad things known to man
But ain't too much sadder than
The tears of a clown when there's no one around

When I was a kid clowns made us laugh but these days their...
