The imagery is so wonderful - 'a capriciousness of white horses' and the moon 'spat from the mouth of a fanfare of clouds'. Mystery and magic. It's great.
I love the detail in this, the way you gradually reveal the strangeness of the environment, and the way you have built up these two characters and their relationship, so that by the time we start to get an idea of what might be happening we...
