It's stunning. What a quietness to it. Words that stop you in your tracks. You've suggested the movement of the wolves with the pace. I like the slight repetition and the making of compound words.

Great comment, Di_Hard! I know what Turlough means though - I love watching paint dry on TV eg Portrait Artist of the Year etc - and I have lots of ideas but not the skill. But writing or art, it should all be about enjoyment, at whatever level...
