Just caught up with this brilliant story; it's so original. I'm glad you decided to continue it. I think Pat might be setting up a steal; Vanesa might not want to break out the pj's with her around. I cannot wait for the next post.

I felt the sinister vibe the moment you described the loan shark, but I didn’t see the twist to vampire. The scene in the alley was unexpected and you captured the palpable fear as he ran back to the diner. Excellent set up and characterization....

Fascinating tale of devilry

Fascinating tale of devilry and fate; I did not see that ending either. So well done in characterizing the devil and his victim and I agree with previous comments, leaving it where it ended is the best ending, but it does tickle the desire for...

Great, evocative poem Jenny, alive with the storm you were experiencing and the fears you had as a child. Well deserving of golden cherries. I could feel the thunder and see the flashes of lightning across the sky in your very descriptive...

Posted on Thu, 31 Aug 2023

Your poem conjures sadness, an introspective consideration and juxtaposes it with ordinary images like the grandfather rattling his teeth and the cockatoo named Dog. The tempo and visual words are profound yet illusive. What is the “first sorrow...
