Islamic State

A short speculative fiction about the 'war' Islamic State might wage against Britain, threatening our democracy and making some of our current concerns seem petty.

Islamic State fighters find themselves in heaven (Jannah) after heavy street fighting. They have become martyrs to the cause of Jihad. God took the fighters into heaven on the face value of what they had said to the angels who met them, that they were pure of heart and mind.

Islamic State fighters have found themselves in heaven (Jannah) after heavy street fighting. To their surprise they find that there are many impure undesirables in heaven and they decide they must try to reestablish their Caliphate in heaven.

In the end God realised these Islamic State fighters did not deserve to come into heaven, and should be sent to the alternative place where they thought only infidels deserved to go. They found themselves amongst rapists, murderers and criminals of all sorts.

Black cowled figures chased him over rocks and barren land. They would kill him for the thoughts in his mind, for the freedom of his actions. The religious authorities had found out and sent their assassins and soldiers out to have 'justice done'.
