Written after I saw a French and Saunders skit on the iconic scene where the Knight plays chess with Death on the beach, from Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal . This has been previously posted on ABC, so it might look familiar. There are a few stories I'm putting back up.

Really enjoyed this. Well written and gripping. And scary. Like someone succumbing to dementia. Reminded me of 1984, Logan's Run, any of those distopian novels. Made me wonder what David had died from. Refusing to get assimilated maybe ?...
