Some wonderful use of metaphors here like:-

To a pond that softly brooks and whispers,

Like nut-brown skin that lolls across

settees of dappled

sun.

Very much enjoyed your poem and thank you for sharing....

Funnily enough my partner's going night fishing with his son this weekend, so I expect he will be sitting thinking of me and I of him. Nice thoughtful poem.

Oh Penny, I so enjoyed

Posted on Tue, 03 Jul 2018

Oh Penny, I so enjoyed reading this piece. Your shared thoughts reminded me of my own dad and how I felt when he sadly died and having to sort out the many records in his collection. Did your dad play the piano? If he did then again you would...

So beautiful and mysterious.

I enjoyed your poem Di, it had a lighthearted feel to it as I read. I could feel the cool air as the turbines rotate.

Relaxing read.

I had this vision in my mind

Posted on Thu, 12 Apr 2018

I had this vision in my mind's eye of a woman sitting on a cliff top looking out to sea and reminiscing of lost love. I know I'm probably miles away from what your poem was saying, but I found it so haunting and sad, yet so poetic and written...

I can understand exactly where you're coming from Richard. It takes so many hours of hard writing and searching for answers to your questions, I think only other writers really understand the amount of time that goes into putting a piece of work...

Hi Elsie,

Hi Elsie,

just loved reading this piece, especially the bit about:-

Festival and carnival and fireworks to bright the dull

Seventies and eighties fancy dress and shops that sell it.

Fish and chips, cornish  pasty,...
