Dear diary...wouldn't it be good to turn back time, to smile across rousing energy gushing unleashed freshness with sense of exhilarating abandonment...

You,ve a keen eye for detail

You,ve a keen eye for detail in your narration of Dark Hedges and evoke the mystery Turlough. Those old beech trees with their intricate overhead tangle must be a magical place to visit, no wonder the faeries hang out there.
I so enjoyed reading about the faerie people, even the scary one, because I definetly believe in faeries, even though I've never come across one in real life either. I wonder! If those flickering lights were either orbs or...
It's so sad that there was so much conflict between Catholics and Protestants, it must have been even worse for the children, not really understanding what the problem was and having friends that came from the other side of what the parents...
This is such an endearing read Turlough. Your young voice comes across perfectly and I can just imagine you all sitting in the van. I'll bet those kids that made fun of your dad's van were just jealous and that's why they made fun.
I had to look up Hristo Botev, as I knew nothing about this man. I discovered he was a poet who was in exile for a good part of his life because of his beliefs in dignity and freedom. He wrote poems of the mountains, rivers and fields and there's...
A haunting story that's morally concerned with the mother's distinction of right and wrong. It made me wonder how much the children missed out on being rebellious. Their lives were so controlled.

Hi Rhiannon,
worms don't seem to have any idea of where they're going in my opinion, they are just a mystery.
I'm not sure that they actually see or have thoughts as I don't think they have brains or eyes, but just slither their...

Hi Penny,

Hi Penny,
I have to say this is one of the best Christmas poems I've read since:
The night before Christmas when all round the house, nothing was stirrring not even a mouse.
Beautifully written with great rhythm and rhyme....

Making plans is so easy when you're young, but as we age the anticipation is great, but the actual doing is something else that's harder to cope with.
You've explained this in your poem very well Rhiannon.
